From the Author
Kay Hoover and I are proud to have been pioneers in the lactation field. We realized very early on that our fledgling profession lacked professional educational resources. We picked up cameras and began to document the things we saw in our practices. This became the genesis for the Atlas. The new edition greatly expands our original vision to create a comprehensive manual of mother and infant conditions affecting lactation.

A MUST have for passing the IBCLE

This is an older version of the Atlas but the price made it worth the investment. The photos and associated text helped prepare me for the exam. I highly recommend the Atlas.

The Breastfeeding Atlas

I consider this book fascinating. Each chapter contains paragraphs that refer to pictures in the back of the book, which lets you know exactally what you are reading about. This is the best resource I have ever seen for learning. It was recommended to me by experienced Lactation Consultants. The consultants said the half of the Lactation Exam Boards are pictures.

Not as good as I had read about in reviews here

I have read a LOT of books in prep for my IBLCE exam this year (and have for several years). This book was not what I expected. I was hoping that the wealth of pictures in this book would help me with studying. It's a lot of flipping back and forth from descriptions to pictures and back.
