Why write a long review? Gardner's best mysteries always involve a time element, where Mason gets it right and the DA doesn't. When ESG got busy he dictated, and the time element is absent, the story less interesting

The Case of the Drowsy Mosquito

Perry Mason was catching up on his mail when he was told of two clients. One looked like a tramp and the other looked like a banker. One had a question on corporate law and the other about an auto accident. Perry said to send in the tramp so he can get justice for his accident. Gertie said it's the tramp who has a question on corporate law! Bowers wants Mason to meet his mining partner Banning Clarke (Chapter 1). Banning wants a pooling agreement to control the mining corporation. We learn about the people (Chapter 2). Banning said his corporation bought mining claims whose value was fraudulently increased. He wants Perry to fight this fraud. Nell Sims, the cook, is a strong woman who garbles proverbs (Chapter 3). That night Jim Bradisson and his mother got sick. They say it was poisoning (Chapter 4)! Iron oxide solution neutralized the arsenic to wash it out.

Nurse Velma Starler saw a man in the backyard; when she pointed a flashlight at him he fired two shots at her! Perry and Della are visiting a ranch when a telephone call from Banning summons them (Chapter 5). There is a clever legal trap in electing Banning as a director of the corporation (Chapter 6). Della and Perry are also poisoned (Chapter 7)! Shots are heard outside (Chapter 9). Somebody shot Dr. Kenward (Chapter 10)! Banning was poisoned and went to the hospital. But he died of a gunshot wound! Perry calls Paul Drake so he can act like a prospector who found a lost mine (Chapter 11). Perry snooped and learned about a legal document (Chapters 12, 13). There are depositions in the fraud case (Chapter 15). Della and Perry travel to the desert to meet Bowers, nurse Starler, and Dr. Kenward (Chapter 17). There is news about Bradisson's illness. "Black Light" is used for prospecting. The desert has its charms.

Sheriff Gregory arrests Pete Sims because he bought arsenic at a drugstore (Chapter 19). Mrs. Bradisson accuses Perry of taking a document from Banning's room. Perry asks why she and her son took ipecac to simulate arsenic poisoning! Perry admits to taking Banning's will (Chapter 21). Pete Sims explains how he puts it over to a city slicker (Chapter 22). He also tells Perry who he worked with. There is a meeting with the D.A. and Sheriff (Chapter 23). Perry surmises what happened and gets an admission from a guilty witness. The last chapter ties up the loose ends.

Erle Stanley Gardner showed his love for life in the desert. The character of an old grizzled prospector showed up in some of his other novels. There are references to war-time rationing, and a few legal facts about wills. Della and Perry were in danger from poisoning, but not the targets. This early "Perry Mason" was more of a private detective than a courtroom wizard.

Mark Dawidziak has been a theater, film and television critic for more than thirty-five years. He has been the TV critic at the Cleveland Plain Dealer since July of 1999. His many books include the horror novel Grave Secrets, The Bedside, Bathtub & Armchair Companion to Dracula, the literary biography Jim Tully: American Writer, Irish Rover, Hollywood Brawler (with Paul J. Bauer) and two acclaimed histories of landmark TV series: The Columbo Phile: A Casebook and The Night Stalker Companion. A member of the editorial board of Rod Serling Books, he penned the foreword to the 2015 reissue of Rod Serling’s first book, Patterns. He has edited three collections of works by Twilight Zone contributor Richard Matheson. His many books on Mark Twain include Mark My Words: Mark Twain On Writing, Horton Foote’s The Shape of the River: The Lost Teleplay About Mark Twain, Mark Twain’s Guide to Diet, Exercise, Beauty, Fashion, Investment, Romance, Health and Happiness, Mark Twain in Ohio, and Mark Twain for Cat Lovers. Avoid the Pitfalls That Life Throws At Us

Whether or not you remember when The Twilight Zone aired on television in the late 1950s and early 1960s or not everyone, yes everyone, will find a lot to learn in this book on the human mind and its inner-workings that exist in all of us. The many emotions everyone demonstrates throughout life such as greed, envy, love, hate, loneliness, insecurity, serenity, and any others you can think of are all here in this marvelous book and written in a way anyone ought to be able to identify with and see themselves in the episodes that Rod Serling brought to our television screen. Favorite episodes are brought to light once again and prove to be just as poignant now as they were close to sixty years ago in this now Divided States of America.

Author Mark Dawidziak has proven just how gifted Red Serling was in understanding the human mind. Anyone who reads this book will undoubtedly see themselves in it. Do yourself a favor and buy the book. I'm sure you will find it to be beneficial.

It's True, Twilight Zone Taught Me How To Live

When I read a review of Everything I Need to Know I Learned in the Twilight Zone: A Fifth Dimension Guide to Life in the local paper I couldn't believe I had missed this book. Here was a book that spoke to what I had long believed: that Rod Serling had taught me my basic values.

I was seven years old in 1959 when Twilight Zone first aired. It became my 'must see' tv show. Over the years I enjoyed the reruns but it was while my son and I watched hours of marathon reruns that I realized that perhaps more than any book or Sunday school class it was Rod Serling who had instructed me in how to live.

As a kid, I liked the ironic endings, the comeuppances, and just desserts. I thrilled to the eerie and chilled to the scary. The episode that most scared me was The Invaders, told without dialog, about a witchlike old woman whose primitive cabin is invaded by tiny spacemen. They were more frightening because of their diminutive size, for they could creep up unseen. Then came the reveal--the spaceship was from the United States, the menacing spacemen were human and the woman was the alien.

After reading the preview available online I ordered Mark Dawidziak's book and began reading it upon arrival.

Born in a Reform Jewish family in Binghamton, NY, Serling had an ideal childhood but encountered prejudice as he grew up. In 1943 he enlisted and served in the Pacific front as a paratrooper, the roots of his horror of war and hope for humanity. He entered Antioch College, founded by Horace Mann who wrote, "Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity." After graduation, Serling lived in Cincinnati where he wrote for the radio station, then for television. As he matured, his writing incorporated social commentary, convicted it was "the writer's role to menace the public's conscience."

The Twilight Zone stories are teaching parables. As Anne Serling writes in her forward, her father "truly and deeply cared about all of us." If we have ears to hear, Dawidziak shows us, there are fifty lessons to be gleaned from these stories.

Some of my favorite examples from the book, whose lessons need to be heard again, include:

Divided We Fall, highlighting Serling's script The Monsters are Due on Maple Street. It warns us about mob mentality, fear of people who are 'different', and shows how evil arises from suspicion and division. Many chapters end with a guest lesson; for this chapterMarc Scott Zicree writes, "we can live in a universe of love and compassion, or chaos and destruction. The choice is ours, made every day, every moment, by the actions we conscious or unconsciously take...and you can file that under L for Life Lessons."

Share With Others, gleaned from I Shot An Arrow into the Air, written by Serling. A spaceship crashes into a desert, leaving the astronauts with limited supplies. One man decides he will not share, he will survive at any cost. As the last man alive he learns they had landed on Earth, with civilization just over the hill. Adversity brings out the monster and the best of humanity. Dawidziak connects this lesson to the Flint water crisis and the challenge of providing clean water to everyone in need across the world.

Imagine a Better World, arising from Richard Matheson's script A World Of His Own, a comedic story of a man who can manipulate reality through a dictation machine. Dawidziak notes that the power of imagination is basic to the series, and this episode is a nod to storytellers and dreamers who unlock doors to possibilities.

Fill Your Life With Something Other Than Hate is a reoccurring theme in Twilight Zone, including one of my personal favorites, Two, written by Montgomery Pittman. In a post-war, empty world, one lone female and one lone man survive; they are from opposing armies, distrustful and full of hate. The episode is without dialog, for the two do not share a common language. They have a choice: to carry on the war or to assume their common humanity and lay down arms. He also lists Two under Everybody Needs Somebody Sometime.

Payback is a...Or, What Goes Around Comes Around, is another theme shared by many episodes. This was a favorite saying of a neighbor many years ago, meant as consolation while rejected by a petty community. Serling hated fascism; in his script Deaths-head Revisited, a Nazi visiting Dachau enjoys memories of his time there--until he is put on trial by the ghosts of the dead.

Serling ends the show saying, "All the Dachaus must remain standing. The Dachaus, the Belsens, the Buchenwalds, the Auschwitzs, all of them. They must remain standing because they are a monument to a moment in time when some men decided to turn the Earth into a graveyard. Into it they shoveled all of their reason, their logic, their knowledge, but worst of all, their conscience. And the moment we forget this, the moment we cease to be haunted by its remembrance, then we become the gravediggers."

My heart ached reading this, for I fear we are forgetting.

Don't Be A Bully also is a message found in over a half dozen episodes, wish fulfillment stories where bullies get their just desserts. The Guest Lesson is from Scott Skelton who wrote, "As I got older...the series' strong ethical undercurrents surfaced in my consciousness: its indignant stance on social injustice, its rage at the too often petty nature of our species--prejudice, mob rule, the ever-present threat of fascism, the shadow of superstition and ignorance that has, throughout history, halted the progress of our species. Serling's closing narrative states, "Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of man, that state is obsolete."

These don't even include some of my favorite episodes, including Time Enough at Last (Nobody Said Life Was Fair/Be Careful What You Wish For); those with Jack Klugman, including A Passage for Trumpet, the lesson being Follow Your Passion); Kick the Can (You're Only Truly Old When You Decide You're Old); and Nothing in the Dark (Death, Where is Thy Sting). Nothing in the Dark has Robert Redford as a gentle and kind Mr. Death, an image that stuck with me.

I could go on, but instead, I will advise you to just read the book.

Mark Dawidziak has written a unique recollection of the TWILIGHT ZONE episodes with an eye toward what each story actually speaks to us
deep-down. What the series creator Rod Serling gave us was a thinking-man's speculative fiction that challenges the psyche of the viewer~
here EVERYTHING I NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED IN THE TWILIGHT ZONE slaps the varnish upon that classic storytelling for what it truly
tried to "teach" us back in the 1960s (as well as now). Dawidziak writes in an entertaining manner with comic wit as well as real-world

A powerful nostalgia for unanchored life

For someone branded as a self-absorbant, pompous party animal, Paul Carr exhibits a surprising amount of humility and self awareness that strengthens throughout his journey. THE UPGRADE is an extremely well written hybrid of a diary/travelogue that includes drunken stories, spontaneous adventures, relationship bonding, but most importantly, a self awareness that over-indulgence is not consequence free. A powerful nostalgia for unanchored life. Travel tips included.

Get to know Paul Carr

I don't read a lot of books like this. Authors that do what most people would consider idiotic and then write about it in a self deprecating manner. It always seems pretty self serving.

But this one is different (although still self serving). I read it for a couple reasons. #1) Because I'm in an industry that Paul writes about (tech) and I know the work of several of the people in the book. It's always fun to read about people that you only "know" professionally and see how these anecdotes mesh with the impressions that you can't help but form about them. and #2) Because Paul is so approachable. I've traded Twitter messages with him during his month in Vegas and followed his antics. Rarely is an author as accessible as he is in his every day life. It makes you want to get to know him and root for him.

And you really do get to know him in this book. To me, it's a book that all at once makes you wish you were Paul Call and at the same time makes you incredibly grateful that your anyone but.

Paul is a great writer and I'm glad he can be as introspective as he is here. He's definitely someone I'd love to have a drink (coffee) with.

Good summer read with practical tips

I enjoyed this book much more than Bringing Nothing to the Party, in part because in between the tales of drunken excess, there's several pretty practical tips for how to actually afford to live in hotels full-time on a writer's salary. Though perhaps not the point of the book, it was an interesting insight.

If you follow Carr's work online at all (particularly on TechCrunch), several of the names in the book--including Sarah Lacy's--will be familiar. If you're not aware of the circumstances under which they met (I wasn't), it's sort of a fascinating relationship to watch unfold.

The book's a quick read, and good for summer. I recommend it.

The "anti-program" - actually useful tools to make change happen...

Engaging to read with powerful, implementable ideas. Highly recommended.

Ms. Bodell clearly articulates actual, real live things one can DO to make change happen (vs. theory which sounds good on paper on 'parking lot' posters in Brainstorming Meetings). I have used this book in two different - but related - venues.

As a change management executive at a global consulting firm, I am often approached by clients who want to make change happen but lack the tools required to shift the behavior of the 'frozen middle' such that they become active change agents. Kill the Company provides tactical ways to effect change that is thoughtful, considered and dare I say it? Fun. "Picture the Future" allowed me to creatively engage with a leadership team in a visioning exercise that prior to Ms. Bodell's kickstart idea, felt a bit stale.

As a professor for organizational change-related classes at NYU I found the book so insightful that it's now on my course syllabus. Through this book, Ms. Bodell helps us to wisely drive intentional change. Caution 1: The marketing of this book appears to employ some of the time-worn tactics of many business books, e.g., bringing first-time reviewers out of the woodwork to add two sentences of praise in order to inflate the star ratings.

With those two cautions aside, the core message of this book is a good one, and is delivered persuasively: Thinking in all its forms -- questioning, creating, inventing, exploring -- too often takes a backseat to efficiency, output, and short-term ROI. Thinking is relegated to a one-time PowerPoint presentation reserved for the annual strategic plan. But novel and useful ideas ("innovation") are the backbone of a company, and the company's politics and policies must be "killed" in order to invite those ideas in.

Really, I'd rate it 4.5 stars but didn't quite live up to 5

There are lots of pearls of wisdom buried in the pages of the book and it has usefulness to both the new manager to the well experienced. After reviewing my personal notes I was quite pleased with the amount of "to-dos" to help spur innovative ideas to grow your business. There are hundreds of new business books written every year and this one does seem to worth your time to get and start of absorb.

The Scenarios

It's happened to all of us. You're stuck in the one lane that's not moving when some guy whizzes past in a brand-new Cadillac or Porsche. He flashes a Rolex. Suddenly you recognize him: He's the idiot who flunked out of your school. You studied hard and got straight A's, and now you're sitting in an eight-year-old car wearing a knockoff watch. In that moment you ask, "If I'm so smart, why is that idiot rich and I'm not?"

Or how about this: You pick up a copy of the local paper and see a photo of a guy shaking hands with the governor. Seems he turned his "nothing" business into a holding company. Now he has interests in every major city in the state and about five thousand people working for him. That's when you realize he used to be that kid who always got the change wrong when he came to collect the newspaper money. You never got the money wrong. Yet now the only person who ever shakes your hand is the greeter at Wal-Mart. You ask, "If I'm so dependable, why is that idiot rich and I'm not?"

Or this: You've finally purchased your first home. You and your wife can just about make the payments if you both work full-time and give up all thoughts of a family. One day your friends drag you to a business-opportunity meeting with three hundred other wannabe-rich hopefuls. That's when you realize the guy standing on the stage tossing hundred-dollar bills into the crowd is the son of your mom's neighbor in Queens who was always borrowing money off everyone to buy candy because he never had a dime. You've never ever borrowed anything--not even a penny--not once. You always paid your own way. And now you're living paycheck to paycheck and all you've got in your pocket is $87.62 and your lucky coin. You can't help but ask, "If I was always so careful about money, why is that idiot rich and I'm not?"

How about this one: You're standing in the checkout line at the supermarket and skimming the covers of the magazines, thinking you'd like to buy a couple, only cash is tight right now. There on the cover of People--you suddenly see it--a small inset photo that looks really familiar. You grab the magazine and flip to the page. Sure enough, there's a long story about this woman who just donated a zillion dollars to an organization that helps women build businesses. You read on. Turns out she became a fashion designer, launched a hugely successful Internet clothing empire, and adopted three orphans from poverty-stricken countries. More than that, she accomplished all this by the age of thirty! You just passed the forty-one-year mark. Worst of all, you realize that the woman with the great People magazine life was that weird kid you used to babysit for a few dollars. She was the one who wore purple tights with ragged holes in the knees topped off with a mustard yellow T-shirt and a blue, pink, and orange striped pajama top. You always matched perfectly. Every outfit you wore was impeccably coordinated. You can't help but ask, "If I was always so correct, how come that idiot's got this terrific creative life, and I'm standing at the checkout counter worrying about the price of a couple of magazines?"

Here's one more: You've just been promoted to V.P. of something worthwhile. It only cost you ten years of eighty-hour weeks and one marriage, but you made it. You're rewarded with a trip to the annual industry conference. Then your world turns upside down. You recognize the keynote speaker--he's the guy who flunked out halfway through your senior year. Worse, you recognize the woman sitting beside him. She dropped out because she got pregnant. The only ones you don't recognize are the three handsome children sitting beside them on the stage. Now the whole family is getting a standing ovation because they just endowed a chair, built a hospital, funded two labs, and bought milk for an entire country. And the two parents who everyone said wouldn't last six months have got this great family and this great life. You, on the other hand, went to an Ivy League school on a full scholarship and spent the last ten years taking course after course so you could climb up the corporate ladder. Your wife divorced you four years ago and you see your kids every other weekend for a few hours. You ask, "If I work so hard and I'm so smart, why is the universe doling out these lavish gifts to people who broke all the rules? How come those idiots have it all and my family and I don't?"

What Are You Doing Wrong?

You know the question: How come THAT idiot's rich and I'm not? Or put another way: Why is that idiot living your dream life and you're not--despite all your smarts and hard work? Why is that idiot able to build a business while you're slogging your life away in some anonymous cubicle, working for a corporation you're beginning to feel doesn't really care about you? Why has that idiot been able to turn his or her talents and dreams into a life of wealth while your talents and dreams are packed away in the back of your closet, along with those golf clubs you never have time to use and that scuba gear that's getting brittle because you never even take a weekend off, much less indulge yourself and your family in a tropical-island vacation? Why is that idiot able to send his kids to the best schools while you're worried about paying for a state school? Why is that idiot able to give his family financial security while you're always just making ends meet? And why is that idiot able to make a real difference in people's lives--change the world even--while you're plodding along, just another increasingly unsatisfied, hardworking, and dependable wealth-seeking wannabe?

The answer is so simple it's scary.

What made that guy or that girl back then an idiot are the same qualities that are making them rich today. And what got you the good grades and the pats on the back and all the gold stars is what's keeping you from getting rich.

Duh! And you thought it was all about hard work, sticking to the rules, and never coloring outside the lines--hello?

So what can you do about it?

This book can change all that. It can make real wealth happen for you--the kind that enables you to do whatever you want without worrying about money, take care of your loved ones, and have plenty left over to make the world a better place for others. But first you have to ask yourself a really tough question: Deep down inside, do I really want to be rich?

Because I myself started as one of those "idiots" who, by a process of trial and error, was lucky enough to discover the seven secrets I'm about to share with you, and to follow them to wealth.

My Rich Idiot Beginnings

I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and attended Hillwood High. I didn't get straight A's, become valedictorian, or rake in scholarships to top colleges. The reality is, I graduated practically at the very bottom of my class--probably 424 out of 425. My attendance record was so poor (I skipped about thirty-seven straight days in my senior year) that the Board of Education called to revoke my diploma, but it was too late. My own parents had already taken it away from me, saying I didn't deserve it.

As it turns out, my schooling wasn't a total loss. I was unaware at the time that while I was flunking those middle and high school tests I was actually honing what would become my set of "Rich Idiot skills."

You see, at age fifteen I took a job as a busboy in a local restaurant. The other busboys were happy to be called busboy. Not me. The first thing I did was change my job title to Table Maintenance Engineer. Hey, don't knock it. It got laughs--and also more respect and bigger tips.

Soon I had moved up the ladder to waiter or, as I called myself, Table Service Specialist. Now I was bringing in over $800 a week--more than my teachers were averaging at the time.

What I didn't know then was that the characteristics I displayed would bring me immense success later in life. For example:

I wanted control over my income.

I showed pride in my work, and gave myself titles that reflected that pride.

I valued real cash money that I could see and touch over the invisible money that showed up on a pay stub.

I learned how to deal well with people--from the temperamental cook to the dissatisfied customer.

These became some of the future building blocks of my own fortune.

How about you? Have you ever gritted your teeth at the title you wore and wished it were more important? Have you ever felt that satisfying wad of cash in your wallet and the surge of confidence it gives? Have you ever succeeded in reaching a goal? Remember how good it was to feel pride and satisfaction in your accomplishments? Rich Idiots feel that way all the time, and you can too.

My Own Shrink Story

I was such an idiot in school that the administration decided I should see a psychiatrist. The problem was my grades. I never did much of the assigned reading. I didn't do all my homework. I always spoke up in class and didn't follow rules very well. They thought I was an idiot. To validate this view, they sent me to the school shrink.

What they didn't realize was that I was just bored with the assigned books; in fact, I was an avid "secret reader." So in preparation for my first experience with the school psychologist, I borrowed psychology books from my cousin who was in college at the time. My goal was to fool the expert. I wanted him to think I was an idiot--crazy as a loon. When he pulled out the Rorschach inkblot test, I was ready for him. I'd read that crazy people identify every inkblot as a bat, so I pointed out a lot of bats. The diagnosis came back as predicted: "Robert is an idiot--he's crazy."

How did that bring me closer to my success? I gained self-confidence from knowing I could read, as long as the subject matter excited and moved me. I read books about science, mathematics, astronomy, and history. I explored the world of ideas by devouring books on philosophy and exploration. But my favorite books were biographies. I loved tracing the life path of amazing people.

My Hidden Disabilities Helped Me

Become a Rich Idiot

After that, things in school went from bad to worse. I remember the day my typing teacher called me an idiot. I'd failed a typing test for the fiftieth time, and she actually threw a book at me, declaring I would never amount to anything. I simply couldn't type. I didn't know why I made more mistakes than anyone else in the class. I just couldn't get the letters right--couldn't even remember where they were on the keyboard.

Many years later I learned that I have a rare form of dyslexia in which spatial abilities are impaired. That meant I couldn't use a keyboard even if I practiced for years. The same disability ensured that I couldn't master math. Today, I can't even find my own investment properties on a map!

But even with this disability I went on to own a real-estate empire of over four hundred properties and to write ten best-selling books. I didn't realize until later the gift this typing teacher had given me. By calling me an idiot she forced me to find other pathways to achieve what I desired. If I couldn't write, I would talk. And talking--public speaking--made me a fortune. When my speeches were transcribed and turned into books, I made another fortune.

Remember!

Rich Idiots never think or say "I can't." They ask, "How can I?" Take the word can't out of your vocabulary.

The Day I Tested the System

Yes, I kept getting idiot grades in school. But deep down I believed I wasn't as big an idiot as all my teachers made me out to be. I'd concluded that the system was at fault. So one day I tested my theory. The class assignment was "Write a poem." I painstakingly copied out a poem from a collection that had won the 1950 Pulitzer Prize and handed it in. Surely, I thought, any poem that had won the coveted Pulitzer would get an A from my English teacher. Wrong. It came back to me with a D. When I challenged the grading system, claiming it was unfair and prejudicial, I got suspended for being--you guessed it--an idiot!

At the time, I didn't realize that I'd just received my first lesson in labels and how hard they are to peel off. My teacher stuck the label of "idiot" on me, and it wouldn't peel off no matter what I did. Other teachers read that label and believed it was accurate. Except deep down I knew otherwise. I held on to self-belief as I made first one, then another, and then a third fortune.

Let me apologize and ask forgiveness for any heartache I might have caused my parents or my teachers. Rich Idiots always take responsibility for their actions.

But I realized this: The power of self-belief always trumps the power of what others believe about you.

Been there done that...Chances are you already know all this

This is just a rehash of all the same business and real-estate principles already available from everyone from Trump, to "Rich Dad, Poor Dad," to Suze Orzman...Follow these three steps and skip the book: borrow money to buy a house or asset rather than cash, build a business rather than work for someone, etc. etc. If you've already read 1 financial self-help book than you know this stuff already. Time to put into practice rather than waste money reading the same old thing...

By the way, the book was just published a few weeks ago, so interesting that there are already 3 5-star reviews with glowing and uncritical endorsements....Hmm...The author, his brother, and the publisher perhaps? Clearly Mr. Shermin got one business principle right out of the NY Times

How to Use Other People 101 - Nothing New

This book could have been titled "How to Use People 101" or "How to be a human parasite" and been just as relevant. Let's see...average guy who didn't bother to "play by the rules" like other poor idiots who worked their way through college or became experts in the field. Then throw in (and I quote)How to use other people's ideas, other people's money, other people's time...

For those who have even the slightest level of self respect or integrity - pass. For the rest of you who desire the dollar at any and all cost - this will be right up your alley.

There are MUCH better books out there that give you real advice on how to build wealth without becoming a human parasite; this book isn't about wealth, it's a primer on using people. However, the author is practicing what he preaches - he's using OTHER PEOPLE's ideas that you have heard a million times before. Don't waste your time on this bomb.

Shermin does what all the get-rich-quick gurus do:
. he disdains traditional education
. he talks of a lavish lifestyle
. he talks of obtaining or having a beautiful wife
. not needing or having a job.
Just how many gullible people are there? The formula these guys spout generally consists of getting involved in some dubious MLM followed by real estate investment. Exactly what does the author own and where? What are the case details of his last deal? Of course these questions always remain unanswered.
